Neurotic Anxiety patient with a heart monitor question?
I am a recovering anxiety panic attack sufferer whose main anxiety concern has always been health issues.I am very healthy, workout 5 days a week... never drank or smoked.7 % bodyfat.Over the summer, my anxiety reached a all time high. Had to be put on Lexipro & Ativan.I was scared to death of heart issues for some reason, so I ended up with every heart test, and numorous trips to the cardiologist. The cardiologist, earlier this month basically told me to get lost.... work closely with my psychiatrist, and not worry about coming into his office.Meanwhile About every 20 30 times I check my BP with my Omron home monitor, I get a Irregular Heartbeat symbol. I am dizzy and unsteady 90 % of the time..... and have been for 6 months ..... I just don't understand how this can be all in my head.I have had catscans, EKG's, ECG's, 3 24 hr Holter monitors, bloodwork, .....etc...etc.....I don't understand this.I am off the Ativan completely...I still take 10mg of Lexipro daily, and I have never had a single side effect from it.I will have 3 or 4 good days...then I see the " Irregular" Symbol on my BP monitor...then i will freak out for a week.
