Nurses, i need help with health promotion for Rheumatoid Arthritis patients?
I'm confused with health education for RA patients with health promotion for Ra patients. Can anyone gives me examples on health promotion for Ra patients? i Is comforting the patient from excruciating pain consider as health promotion? ii giving seminar about the disease itself to the community that talks about the disease,how it progress, what are the signs and symptoms is also consider as health promotion? iii correct me if I'm wrong, health education is to educate the patient about how the disease process, how to manage it etc and health promotion is to promote the health status of the patient itself that includes comforting them, giving awareness etc.
Treatment of Rhumatoid Arthritis patient of advance stage,is possible of not?
My wife is a patient of Rhumatoid Arthritis since last 20 Years.Her both feets and hands have been deformed.Her left knes have been replaced TKR and her right ankle have been fused also.She is having acute pain with swelling in her both the elbows,hence not able to drink a glass of water her own.She had gone under treatment in various cities,Doctors, but could not be cured relief . Is there any treatment,Doctor or pathy which can give her some relief ?
I Am a Rheumatoid Arthritis patient..I have some doubts..Please clear them?
I am Only 16 and for 1 long continuous years i am suffering from pain. I searched over internet and read out whole lot of books to cure my self..But I have many doubts..Please Clear them ..Right now i am Taking Ellopathy details > Ecospirin 150 ,2 x 3 times..,Cavit syrup 2 times and Wysolone10 3 times in homeopathy A joint and Muscle pain Tablets.. 4 x 3 times dailyIn ayurvedic i am taking some pills kind of thing made especially from a bird local name Kochila khai which is found in mountainous region.Is there any problem if i am taking all the medics at the same time?Another thing is that i searched over internet and found that avoiding dairy products would help.I left drinking milk ,curd ,cheese etc. But other things like Biscuits Chocolates etc. which contain milk solids can't b avoided as i am staying in hostel and there is no other option..Would that affect a lot??Other than that I love to drink milk..But i cant..Is soy milk or rice milk a good substitute without worsening my condition..Also can i use nutrient drinks like complan in the milk which also contain some amount of milk solids.?Once i saw on the t.v to avoid eating fish but it didn't explained whether to avoid sweet water fish or marine water fish..Over internet I searched for this and got to know that eating marine fish would help relief from pain..Clear this doubt.Now i have totally switched over to vegan diet..Is it good?Another doubt is that In the newspaper i read an article on Rheumatoid arthritis written by a ayurvedic doctor.He wrote bout' eating and avoiding certain foods.And not using oil for joints.In market we can find good number of oils for rheumatism..Are they good or harmful? Also when i am in pain my mother use Mustard oil little warm with garlic to apply on foot..Sometimes she apply them on my joints too..Should it be avoided?Another doubt is that I fear to catch cold if i take bath.Should i take bath everyday to get free from germs or should i avoid taking bath?.After taking medicine which r very bitter in taste i eat candy or eclairs .Is it ok or i should chalk them out too.I am taking lots of painkillers .All are prescribed by the doctor.I fear that would hamper my studies as i have heard it leads to memory blur..I can leave it but my parents telling me to take them regularly to get cure.What should i do?Also please suggest me What kind of vegetables should i avoid in order to get relief from pain.. I have been suffering from severe pain and inflammation in all joints. shoulder,hand joints,knee joint,Ankle joint,fingers etc. back pain ann hip joints also get stiff.Please suggest me how can i get cure.Thank you for helping.
Does anyone know a good place not so hot, but good for the recovery of a rheumatoid arthritis patient?
I am only in my late 40's, I like to work a little bit more, thought not as much as before. I fell ill for Rheumatoid Arthritis for 4 years, and taking predisone for it. I went through hell dealing with the pains. Now, the spring water seems to work. However, I must move to a new place where I can find a job. Does anyone know of a non desert place with weather that don't inflict arthritis pains?
