I went to my doc yesterday...due to the fact that I have been complaining from body aches and muscle stiffness in the morning..for a while now... I feel very achy in the morning, but it seem when I take a shower, and let the warm water hit my body I feel alot better... Also..when I get my day going at work and not think about it..I really dont feel it anymore... I do suffer from anxiety and I am an extreme hypocondriact!!! I tend to tense of ALOT throughtout the day and when I sleep I toss and turn alot... The doctor took a RA test because she wanted to rule that out first cause it runs in my family...BUT she did tell me that ANXIETY/ DEPRESSION can cause this also... I took the test yesterday and I got my ESR results which were within standered range and normal...I was told from my docs nurse.. I am still waiting on the two RA tests they took..I am really scared!! I am 33 years old...Can anybody give me some piece of mind?? Please...

Judging from your note, I have to agree with your health care provider that anxiety can be a cause. Arthritis , by definition, is pain in the joints, not the muscles. Learn to relax : meditation or exercise are both good things to try. Hope all goes well.
