Aspergers test for adult- info on private treatment on NHS- 18 weeks pledge?
does anyone have any details on how this works? whom do i approach for help? my GP is useless.if its not law yet, is there anything i can do? ive tried med neg, but noone can help as they are only interested in people with scalpels left inside them etc...i was referred last august for a diagnostic test for asperger's syndrome, a type of autism.this was turned down by my PCT because my PCT is planning a new autism service, and so new tests have to be seen there. it does not exist yet i have been referred to something which does not exist, and the PCT refuses to refer anyone to anywhere else. is this even legal? i know mental health, which autism a neurological condition comes under, is the bottom of the pile with funding and priority, but this is surely illogical it literally doesnt exist yet no staff or building.this is over 18 weeks.does anyone know how i go about getting private treatment under the 18 week pledge? ive been trying to get this test for exactly 2 years now, but due to endless, pointless paper work mess ups im still waiting. the most recent referral for this test goes back to last aug september, so is well outside the 18 week limit.ive tried PALs, but they didnt couldnt help whom should i approach next??the national autistic society cant help directly... i am loosing hope...you can email directly if you would prefer any advice welcome...telegraph.co.uk health healthnews 6471167 Patients to get legal right to free private health care on NHS.html
Someone told me to take the Aspergers test on the internet and i scored 35 could i actually have it?
Cos l never go outside the house and " When somebody starts talking to me I always seem to talk over them. So other people say and I might come across as a bit ignorant but like I always seem apologetic if I do" and " I have probs going out on my own always need someone there with me like i struggle with directions" and I always seem to get called unique by my friend like he says there" s only one of me Im not sure whether that" s okay for him to say or to just take it offensively. Iam 20 years of age and male btw.
