I did a home diabetes test and...?
I did a diabetes test at home but i'm confused with the results. It was an 8 hour fasting glucose test using blood to test glucose levels but on the chart it says 72 108mg dl is normal but on every internet site i went to it said between 70 100 is normal and that above 100 is not normal. It also said that anything up from 144mg dl was diabetes but on the internet sites they say above 126... is that right?Secondly my test was a darker colour than the 108mg dl level on the chart but it wasn't as dark as the 144mg dl which they said to be diabetes. My level could be anywhere from 109 143 but i have no idea where, what should i do? I'm 13 years old and my mum and dad will never take me to the doctors, i also took two tests and both tests gave me this result, any advice? Thanks.

Please help!! 3 hour gestational diabetes test while being sick?
I took my 3 hour gestational diabetes test while being sick with cough and cold for almost 3 weeks. I just came to know that I failed the test. My 1 hour test showed the number as 152. So I was sent to the 3 hour test. My fasting glucose level for 3 hour test came back as normal but rest of the 3 are high. Has me being sick affected the results?

Diabetes Testing Result?
I just learned that I'm diabetic, and been testing myself 2 3 times a day for several days now. Here's the result, and I wanna see what you guys think. At morning, it's usually 80 to 95Eat breakfast, goes to 130 or so, and than take my metformin 1000mg Work, 5 hours later, lunch. Numbers varies from 140 to 170 cause I eat a lot.Than 5 hours later, dinner. Numbers varies, depending if I eat higher carb items like rices but the last few nights, around 122 to 150. I spike once to 200 with rices. than 1k mg of medicine Maybe a snack before bed, though I don't test.I test these all of them one day and tested from every 10 minutes after i started meal to see what my number peaks are at. I've read that it should be 180 or less after a meal, and test 1 or 2 hours after eating. Well, my highest number happen to be at 30 minutes and 50 minutes. SHould I trust those numbers? At 2 hours, It goes to fasting numbers.Thanks.p.s my medicine is a 12 hours differences, 2000mg a day. But eat and test before I take the medicine. Thanks, I already research pretty badly on this subject. As for diets, I'm attempting what I think is best, and the results aren't that bad. Losing 15 pounds in 3 weeks, numbers imo is well within normal. Plus, 2 hours after meal? That's not what works best for me. 2 hours for me would be back at fasting level, because I process food pretty damn fast so the peak glucose result is usually at 30 to 1 hours. And I got no doctor to go talk to, expensive and no insurance. So, I'll have to make do with what I learn. Thanks all.

Diabetes test, accidentally had a cracker/bisquit?

I started fasting at 10 pm but accidentally ate an Indian cracker hard biscuit thing at 5 30 am. My appointment is at 9 45. Do you think this will be okay or will it mess up my readings? Thanks

Diabetes Testing and Diagnosis?
My blood sugar was tested a few months back. about January February I had the symptoms of diabetes so my doctor did a simple random glucose test and it came back normal. I am still convinced that I may be diabetic. I have many of the symptoms like constant thirst, hunger, fatigue, frequent urination, bruising easily. Is it possible that it just didn't show up that time. My doctor did no further tests after the random glucose test. Any advice input would be appreciated.a little background on myself 19yr old female, slightly overweight.

Can I perform a Diabetes Test using a Glucose meter?
I recently ordered a free Glucose meter in order to perform a Diabetes test in the comfort of my home. But now I have doubts whether this test can be accurately performed with a Glucose meter device. However, if it is indeed possible, how would this test be properly carried out ?I dont know if I got this right, but, after waiting 2 hours I then drink something like a glass of orange juice and test myself a second time ?
