How do I determine my hepatitis c test results? Do I have hep c?
I gave blood last year and they sent me a letter saying that my screening test was positive, my riba test was indeterminate,and my nat test was negative. I then went to the health department and there test was negative. Six months later My doctor did a complete hepatitis virus panel and liver function test and all was normal. So what does it all mean?

Hepatitis C test results? How long does it take?
I got a Hepatitis C test yesterday. I got a phone call today saying I am negative. They told me it could be up to two weeks to find out. They just drew blood from the inside of my elbow, I don't know what specific Hep. C test they did. I was relieved that it was negative, but I'm getting another test because it just didn't seem right getting the results so quickly. Is it normal for them to come back so quickly?I guess my real question is, should I trust these results at all? Or go with my suspicion and get another test?

I'm 20 years old and pregnant with my first child. My prenatal tests came back and I found out I have HCV. This friday, I'm going to the hospital for blood tests for my levels and such. Are there any specific tests I should ask for or any questions I can ask that will have helpful answers?

ok, female 38 years old has had Hepatitus C for 15 years, through drug use. Up until 2 months ago used to drink 3 4 glasses per night. about 10 years ago had a liver biposy, 2 years ago had blood test came back positive for Hepatitus C, was refered to see a specialist 1 year ago, had another test came back as false negative.Recently had another test came back positive. She said the first one was not 'sensative enough' so she shill has it, had to do one more test then another liver biopsywhat test are these and what comes nextshe refuses to have ANY treatment

Hepatitis C testing.?
I've read a few messages on here about being tested after 11 weeks.... even 9 weeks and it being a ok to know for a fact that people don't have hepatitis. My question would be which I have asked before but I wanted another go at it for answers if after 19 weeks would be in the clear for hepatitis. I was tested at 19 weeks... and unfortunately I do want to test at 26 weeks BUT I lack funds for testing so I wanted to see if I even needed to. I was talking to my doctor the other day and I said " I was tested for hepatitis C at 19 weeks" and he replied " Well, were you negative?" I said " Yes" and he said " Nothing to worry about. You have NOTHING to worry about." He's a doctor at the medical center of the university that I attend and he even thinks that I'm being ridiculous to worry so much about it. Yes I know I have major anxiety issues. I'm taking medication for it and I'm seeing a therapist. I'm just nervous and I wanted other's opinions. I've heard about even 3 months I should be fine but I've also heard that I'm needing to test at 6 months.
