Wait, med. professionals have to mess up often on hiv tests, because i mean cancer...?
when someone is diagnosed with cancer, the doc says the like have '8 years to live'. but they go to a better hospital different. and they say you got '30 years to live'. or even they treat it better. now couldn't aids be like that? if a doctor said to me hyperthetically ' you got 6 years to live with aids' with without treatment whatever, another test would say better news somehow?

I had unprotected sex 4 times with someone hiv positive but didnt tell me I found out by emailing them anonymously over a gay dating site where they respond Im Pos. They never mentioned there status to me ever the few weeks we were together. and had a high risk encounter with another person. Because of this I went to a clinic. I got a test where you get the resuslts from blood in 30 mins. The test came back negative. They called me a week later and told me I had syphillis. I went to another clinic that week, had more specific tests to see how reacitve I was and had a shot. I went to the clinic again 3 months after they told me I had syphillis and 3 months after my high risk partner and exactly 6 months after the contact with the hiv partner. The test was negative. My mind has still never been totally at ease. Now. I read that hiv negative results and syphillis positive can sometimes mean that person is hiv positive and the syphillis test will show positive. Im very confused and my state of mind changes day to day. its been a year I have not had sex of any kind because of this I have been abstanant for a year. Im so scared to take more hiv tests and knowing tht I was diagnosed with syphillis has me extremely scared because of the information I learned. I definitely believe I did have syphillis bc I had the chacre on my penis. How do I know for sure what I have?? please help. do not insult me or it will hurt me I know cyberspace is random but words do hurt.46 minutes ago 4 days left to answer.Additional DetailsI have only had 2 hiv tests. 1st was 3months after the positive guy. 2nd 3 months after syphillis diagnoses and a different guy. Now 1 year no sex and last hiv test may 2009. the dates i had sex were december 3, 2008. and febuary 14, 2009. Tested negative but positive syphillis Febuary 18, 2009. Teste May 18 2009. Rapid hiv test negative. No test since then. Febuary 18, 2009 present. No sex.
